Made in the USA

What does Made in the USA mean to you?

It is a term that gets tossed around often and sometimes overlooked. It can mean different things to different people. To some it means pride in the American worker. Others say it stands for quality. Still others say it brings to mind a time when your didn't need a label to proclaim where it was produced because in most cases it was made here...in the USA.

The founders of the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill, Franz Ranke and George Gruber, probably thought Made in the USA stood for opportunity. When they started their company in 1894, the slogan wasn't sewn on every product. It didn't need to be. It was however weaved into the fabric of opportunity that helped create a successful business.

This business would weather 2 World Wars, see the terms of twenty-two US Presidents and survive devastating pandemics like the Spanish Flu and the more recent,Covid-19.

Throughout its 127 year old history, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has thrived not only because of the country where it was founded but because of the strong work ethic of its people.

We are proud to be a Made in the USA company and look forward to the next 127years of putting that slogan on each and every product we make.
