The Complete Wool Bedding Set contains all-season bedding pieces that are filled with Climate Beneficial Wool batting and covered in 100% certified organic cotton fabric. Batting is a layer, or sheet, of wool that provides a stable filling that doesn't move inside the comforter. Enjoy the natural benefits of wool bedding for better, more comfortable sleep.

Each wool bedding set includes a comforter, mattress topper, and pillows. Our Wool Comforter can be used with a duvet, comforter cover, or alone. Knotted approximately every nine inches, the comforter provides easy temperature regulation in any weather for improved sleep. The mattress topper, approximately 2.5 inches thick, provides you with added comfort along with the natural benefits of wool. It is knotted approximately every nine inches with elastic straps to secure it. The Wool Bedding Sets also include 1-2 wool pillows, sized appropriately for your set. Each of our wool pillows features wool batting that compresses about 1/3 of the original loft, providing firm support and gentle cushioning.

The Benefits of Wool

Temperature Regulating

From bitter cold to tropic heat, wool acts as a natural insulator and regulates your body temperature. The tiny pockets within the breathable wool adapt to your body temperature and allow for airflow. This makes for the perfect night's sleep.

Pure & Sustainable

Wool is a 100% renewable resource. Each year, sheep are sheared for their wool - a necessary part of ranching. Rest assured, the sheep that grow your wool are still happily grazing California meadows.

Healthy & Clean

Frankenmuth Woolen Mill bedding is great for sufferers of fibromyalgia and arthritis because wool is a supportive bedding that distributes weight evenly. Wool is naturally hypoallergenic, repels dust mites, and wicks moisture for a sounder sleep.

Wool Sourcing

Our commitment to quality and great sleep starts with the wool for the bedding sets. We scoured the country to find ranchers who not only treat their sheep humanely but also share in our passion for providing materials and products that are made in the USA.

Natural Processing

Once the wool arrives at the Mill, it is processed traditionally using our century-old machinery. It's hand washed in bathtubs using 180-degree water and dried for 3 - 5 days, depending on the time of year. After the wool is dried, it is taken to our carding room, where it’s combed and processed on 100-year-old equipment using no chemicals or oils.

After the wool is processed, it's taken to our finishing area, where 100% certified organic cotton fabric and wool are stretched over wooden frames and hand-tied in the old European fashion. Tying holds the wool in place and keeps it secure so it doesn't move around inside. After the Wool Filled Comforter is tied, the edges are sewn, and it's ready for sale.

At each step through the Mill, there is great attention to detail so that each wool bedding set we produce is delivered to our high standards.

Sleep Matters

Sleep is the time that your body refreshes and rejuvenates itself, so having the right bedding is key. Since the average adult spends just 6.5 hours sleeping at night, the quality of such little sleep time is imperative. In addition, wool is a natural insulator, so wool bedding sets eliminate hot and cold spots that cause restless sleep.
