The Lightweight Complete Wool Bedding Set is your all-in-one wool sleep system for hot sleepers and year-round use. This comprehensive wool bed set contains a lightweight comforter, all-season mattress topper, and pillows—all filled with Climate Beneficial Wool batting and covered in 100% certified organic cotton fabric.
Enjoy the natural benefits of wool bedding for better, more restful sleep without the overheating common with synthetic materials.

Each wool bedding set includes a lightweight comforter, wool mattress topper, and appropriately sized pillows for a complete sleep experience. Our organic wool comforter can be used with a duvet, comforter cover, or alone. Knotted approximately every nine inches, the comforter provides easy temperature regulation in any weather for improved sleep. The natural wool fibers offer superior moisture-wicking properties that keep you cool and dry, making this summer wool bedding set ideal for hot sleepers while still providing comfort in cold weather.

The mattress topper, approximately 2.5 inches thick, adds a supportive layer of comfort along with the natural benefits of wool's insulation properties. It is knotted approximately every nine inches with corner loops and elastic straps to secure it to your mattress. Unlike memory foam or synthetic mattress pads, our wool mattress topper naturally wicks moisture and regulates temperature without trapping heat.

The wool bedding sets also include 1-2 wool pillows, sized appropriately for your bed set. The natural fibers in the pillows offer the same temperature regulation and moisture-wicking benefits as the comforter and topper.

A tie kit is included with each comforter for securing inside a duvet if needed.

The Benefits of Wool

Temperature Regulating

From bitter cold to tropical heat, wool is a natural insulator and regulates your body temperature. The tiny pockets within the wool fibers become the same temperature as your body and allow air to circulate freely. This natural temperature regulation provides the perfect night's sleep across different temperature ranges and seasons, making our wool bedding collection suitable for year-round use.

Pure & Sustainable

Wool is a 100% renewable resource and represents some of nature's finest bedding materials. Each year, sheep are sheared for their wool as it is a necessary part of ranching and animal welfare. Rest assured, the sheep that grow your wool are still happily grazing California meadows under responsible farming practices.

Healthy & Clean

Frankenmuth Woolen Mill bedding is excellent for sufferers of fibromyalgia and arthritis because wool is a supportive bedding material that distributes weight evenly – without the pressure points created by memory foam or other materials. Wool is naturally hypoallergenic, which means it repels dust mites and wicks moisture for more restful sleep and an improved sleep experience.

Wool Sourcing

Our commitment to high quality and great sleep starts with our wool. We scoured the United States to find ranchers who not only treat their sheep humanely but also share in our passion for providing natural materials and products that are made in the USA. These aren't industrial operations—they're family ranches committed to sustainable practices and ethical animal care.

Natural Processing

Once the wool arrives at the Mill, it is processed traditionally using our century-old machinery. It's hand-washed in bathtubs using 180-degree water and dried for 3-5 days, depending on the time of year and humidity levels. After the wool is dried, it is taken to our carding room where it's combed and processed on one-hundred-year-old equipment using no chemicals or oils.

After the wool is processed, it's taken to our finishing area, where certified organic cotton fabric and wool are stretched over wooden frames and tied in the old European fashion – by hand. Tying holds the wool in place and keeps it from moving around inside. After the wool-filled comforter is tied, the edges are sewn, and it's ready for sale.

Sleep Matters

Sleep is the time that your body refreshes and rejuvenates itself, so having the right bedding is key. Since the average adult spends just 6.5 hours sleeping at night, the quality of such little sleep time is imperative. In addition, wool is a natural insulator, so wool bedding sets eliminate hot and cold spots that cause restless sleep.
