Our wool comforters are cozy additions to your bed set. Made of Climate Beneficial Wool, this pure wool comforter provides you with better sleep. The comforter features a 100% certified organic cotton exterior with hand-knotted ties every nine inches to keep the wool batting in place. Batting is a layer, or sheet, of wool that provides a stable filling that doesn't move inside the comforter.
Use the wool comforter with a duvet, comforter cover, or by itself. With hypoallergenic fibers, wool naturally repels dust mites, mold, mildew, and moisture. Wool comforters are known for decreasing nighttime allergies and being great for sensitive skin. Improving your sleep with its temperature-regulating benefits gives you a cooling comforter in the hot summer, and studies show that wool warms you in the winter while not causing clamminess or overheating.
A tie kit is included with each comforter for securing inside a duvet to secure if needed.

Our commitment to quality and great sleep starts with the wool. We scoured the country to find ranchers who not only treat their sheep humanely but also share in our passion for providing materials and products that are made in the USA.
Once the wool arrives at the Mill, it is processed traditionally using our century-old machinery. It's hand washed in bathtubs using 180-degree water and dried for 3 - 5 days, depending on the time of year. After the wool is dried, it is taken to our carding room, where it’s combed and processed on 100-year-old equipment using no chemicals or oils.
After the wool is processed, it's taken to our finishing area, where 100% certified organic cotton fabric and wool are stretched over wooden frames and hand-tied in the old European fashion. Tying the comforter keeps the wool in place and secure so it doesn't move around inside. After the Wool Filled Comforter is tied, the edges are sewn and it's ready for sale.
Along each step through the Mill, there is great attention to detail so that each product we produce is delivered to our high standards.
Sleep is the time that your body refreshes and rejuvenates itself, so having the right bedding is key. Since the average adult spends just 6.5 hours sleeping at night, the quality of such little sleep time is imperative. Because wool is a natural insulator, it eliminates hot and cold spots that cause restless sleep.

Made in America which first and foremost I’m all about but then you get the quality product in quality package and then you take it out and you’re simply 110% glad you purchased it. I’m a hot sleeper and my girlfriend is a cold sleeper but somehow it’s a perfect mix, I’m not waking up sweating and she’s not freezing. I would buy this over and over again.

I love this comforter! It’s so comfortable. We live in Texas and keep our AC at about 69°F and it doesn’t overheat us. We purchased the California King. Unfortunately, I didn’t compare the dimensions with the duvet cover I bought like I should have. My duvet is on the larger end of the California Kind size range (104-110”W x 94-96”L) and this comforter is on the smaller end of it. I wish I would have either gotten the oversized comforter or a king size duvet (we ordered our new mattresses, sheets/duvet, and this comforter all at the same time) I got the loops on the corners and I’m so glad I did! It makes putting the duvet cover on so much easier. I definitely recommend this product!

Probably one of the warmest and softest blankets I have ever owned. I am so glad I invested in this because the quality is greater than anything I could have imagined. I find myself struggling to get out of bed because of how warm and soft it is under the covers compared to the rest of the room. If I suddenly had 1 million dollars I would invest it in buying the entire stock of comforters and redistributing it amongst my friends and family. They are seriously missing out. I have not stopped talking about this purchase, dare I say, all week. People are absolutely sick of hearing me talk about it but I don’t care they should all own one.

Worth the wait!! We live in Northwest NH and this wool comforter…my goodness. It’s like the sweetest warm hug when you get into bed. We are so warm all night! We reduced our room temperature to 66 because this comforter keeps us so warm! Quality is OUT OF THIS WORLD. 700% recommend!! Worth every penny!

I did a lot of research for bedding for people who sleep "very warm". I have had downfeathered in the past and paid good money which I loved bc it was light and not heavy feeling. However, in my research I learned that wool is even better so I gave it a try. It is a 10++++!!!!! My husband and I both sleep very warm and this has been an answer we have been looking for. We live in MN amd bought it in Aug. We got the 5lb weight. And it's perfect!!! Light weight and fits both of us temp wise. He's a big guy and im menopausal, so hot cold all night long. This is the first time I don't have to kick off the covers and then later crawl back under bc im cold. I can be under this wool comforter all night and it adjust to me and my husband. Worth the price!!!!
I lost my TV blanket to my cat “Magic”. When I am allowed to use my blanket he is on top of me making sure I am tucked in on My recliner. I have the queen size also and love it. This little one is the perfect size for the sofa or recliner. I live in Florida and now (1/2025) it’s cold and this blanked helps with the heating cost.

I’m so happy with our new wool blanket. It’s light but weighty at the same time and very warm and cozy without being sweaty. Very impressed with the quality and how even the filling is. Even in the hot summer right now without much AC (mid 70s in my bedroom) it is usable and comfortable. It does have a wool smell to it but I’ve already gotten used to it and it is fading. Thank you!!! Price is worth it for the great quality, you won’t regret it. And not more feather fluff flying around my room like my previous duvet.

Worthwhile investment! I wanted a duvet insert that was sustainable, high-quality, and made in the USA, ideally by a small business. I decided to look for something wool and found Frankenmuth! My comforter arrived quickly and is great quality, with a nice weight to it. I'm happy I found it! I hope/think I will be able to use it for many years to come :D
This comforter has taken our bed to the next level! It makes the bed so much cozier! Most nights my husband and I are comfortably covered, but during the summer we sometimes find ourselves kicking it off from being too hot. That being said, we still love it and keep it on the bed year round! Would highly recommend.
A well-made, lightweight, super well-insulating comforter that breaths well and blocks wind from blowing through. I upgraded from queen to king and this was a no brainer decision. Wool filling is excellent!

I ordered two other wool comforters before finding this amazing one - the others both had an outer cotton shell that was loud and crinkly when moving and I couldn't handle it. Sounded cheap and like a sleeping bag but cost a lot of money. Found this one and the outer cotton shell is SO soft and quiet. The wool has the perfect thickness for me to use both in summer and winter here in Michigan. I put a duvet cover on it to keep it clean. Also love how its made in Michigan and not China or another country. It's definitely worth the investment!!
Warm and comfy
Love my new quilt. I replaced a 15+ year old wool quilt and this is much nicer. The weight is perfect and very little lanolin smell that disappeared quickly. Happy to find american products!
I'm very impressed with the quality of the comforter. It's a little too warm for our 75 degree nights, but I look forward to using it in the winter time. I purchased the lightweight comforter which is better suited to the summer temperatures.

Used it for the first time last night and it is wonderful! I love how fluffy, yet not heavy or noisy, the comforter is! It kept me warm but not hot in California early summer weather. I think it definitely could be used year-round in California. Would buy again but hopefully this will last a long time

I love the quality and the weight so much, but it's just too hot. We keep our house at 62 during the night and we are both too hot with this comforter, I wish I had gotten the lighter weight one and just paired with a blanket. We likely can't use it except for the 3-4 true winter months, so a really expensive investment for us for just using less than half of the year. I wish I had realized there was no way to return this or that it would be so warm before I invested in it. The way it sounded, it seemed like it would absorb the body heat so we would be comfortable, but again we are both just too hot sleeping with it.
The craftmanship is top notch. The materials used, high quality. I have trouble sleeping through the night but our first night under this comforter kept me asleep all night. I would strongly reccomend your company and products to family and friends.
Love the weight and temperature, now I just need to find a duvet cover that fits :)
