The Wool Mattress Topper adds an additional cushion to your bed while also providing you with the natural benefits of wool for a better night’s sleep. The toppers are filled with Climate Beneficial wool batting and covered in 100% certified organic cotton fabric. Batting is a layer, or sheet, of wool that provides a stable filling that doesn't move inside the comforter.
Use as a mattress pad or mattress cover; at 2.5 inches thick, the wool mattress topper helps distribute your weight evenly. Wool’s crimped fibers help make it an insulator while also wicking away moisture, ensuring a deep and more restful sleep. The mattress topper also is naturally hypoallergenic, producing fewer dust particles, absorbing VOCs, and repelling dust mites. Mattress toppers are hand-tied every nine inches and feature elastic straps to secure to the mattress.

Our commitment to quality and great sleep starts with the quality of the wool. We scoured the country to find ranchers who not only treat their sheep humanely but also share in our passion for providing materials and products that are made in the USA.
Once the wool arrives at the Mill, it is processed traditionally using our century-old machinery. It's hand washed in bathtubs using 180-degree water and dried for 3 - 5 days, depending on the time of year. After the wool is dried, it is taken to our carding room, where it’s combed and processed on 100-year-old equipment using no chemicals or oils.
After the wool is processed, it’s taken to our finishing area, where 100% certified organic cotton fabric and wool are stretched over wooden frames and tied by hand in the old European fashion. Tying holds the wool in place and keeps it secure so it doesn't move around inside the wool mattress cover. After the Wool Mattress Topper is tied and the edges are sewn, it's ready for your home.

Beautifully made wool Mattress topper. I use when I go camping or during meditation sessions and I love it. Nothing compares to a well hand crafted good. I would order another from this Mill but with more filling since I like a more firm feel. I dried it out in the sun which freshened the topper nicely !
I really wanted to like this topper, but sadly, it has not been a worth while purchase for us. To start with, it didn’t fit the mattress. The measurements are off. The measurements they provide are when pulled flat on the measurement table, so it pulls up once it’s sewn together. They know this is an issue, but for some reason it’s still how they do it. I decided to just deal with the issue in order to support the small business, but it’s continued to disappoint with the lack of plushness over time. It’s a very thin topper, as you can see in the pics. It doesn’t do much at all for the comfort. It’s more like the plushness of a duvet insert. (Which by the way, for what it’s worth, I do love their duvet insert.)
We have a quality mattress the top that already has some squish, but that wasn't enough for my wife's lower back. I wanted a topper that wasn't made of chemicals and was American made and was affordable. The topper might be pricey in comparison to a block of foam, AKA a foam topper, but it is a natural product, is made in the American economy, and is the best price I could find for something that meets those criteria. My wife's back feels better after a week of use, and it feels like being surrounded by a pillow that's hugging you. I'm a fan. Ryan
This is a beautifully made mattress topper. It does fit my mattress. At first I thought it looked small but once I secured the straps around the corners of my mattress it fit beautifully. It's so comfortable to sleep on and feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud! Thank you for making such a quality product!

The king wool topper has taken my mattress which was sleeping much too warm to an extremely cozy and comfortable level. Sheets fit better and stay put. Even in the summer it is not too warm, just right. So glad I researched this quality product and finally made the purchase!
I’ve tried a lot of cooling mattress pad brands but nothing seemed to really work. I was skeptical of wool but decided to try it based on good reviews. I am happy to say it actually works and I sleep much cooler. It’s nice and soft too.
My bed isn't super firm, but my hip would start feeling sore after sleeping on it for a long time. After using the mattress topper, my hip feels great. Also my body temperature stays comfortable all night. I used to get cold by morning and have to get an extra blanket. We keep our home cool at night. Now, whatever I go to sleep with keeps me comfortable until morning!
I have a relatively firm latex mattress, and this added a nice layer of plushness. Most importantly, I'm sleeping much cooler now and I'm not waking up sweaty and stifling.
This bedding is beautiful. I could see and feel the pride that was put into this fine piece of craftsmanship when I opened the box. I haven't slept more temp regulated in years. I love this wool topper. It is soft, and keeps its shape the way feather toppers don't. The fabric cover is nice, and of course there's no noxious off-gassing like you get with synthetic toppers. The elastic straps are just the right length, and keep the topper firmly in place on the bed. I love the hand-made details of the yarn knots holding the batting inside the cover in place. The wool topper is pretty thin, and isn't thick enough on its own to make my extremely hard mattress comfortable, but as a layer on top of a foam topper, it's great. I think if your mattress is just a little too firm, or if it's the right firmness and you just want some natural material closer to your body, you'd find it perfect on its own. I don't know how breathable it is, since I have a mattress protector over top of it, but anecdotally, I do seem to be less sweaty in the night, so I think it works.
So far so good. I bought this for a pullout sofa bed which is used for company. Luckily I’ve had 2 separate people sleep on it the same week I bought it and both agreed it’s more comfortable than before. Although the stomach sleeper isn’t sure if a firmer mattress is better suited for him. That said I believe it was a good purchase and am happy with the customer service, the quality of the topper and the size fits perfectly on the queen size bed.
This is the first mattress topper that I have purchased that is exactly as advertised. It is well made and of high quality, yet affordable. My experience with sleeping with it has been very positive. It cushions but still provides support. I hope to get many years of comfortable sleep with this topper. I suppose it should be rotated and aired out occasionally. I will look at your website for instructions.

We bought this topper to use in our van, which has seats that fold down into a full bed but not the most comfortable of sleeping surfaces. This thick topper fills in the gaps and keeps us comfy all night when we’re camping. Grateful to have a natural fiber, no dust mites option. In the past I’ve ordered wool bedding from the UK, so glad to have a Michigan maker.

I’m enjoying the mattress pad, however, I’ve only had it for a week. It’s very comfortable but time will tell if it holds up well. The proprietors are great to work with. It came within a couple of days and was packed well.
The king wool mattress topper we purchased from you is very high quality and works great out of the box with no offending smells of some other wool products. We’ve used a Zelinger topper for 12 years and purchased this one from you to allow rotation for laundering. My only feedback is that the elastic corner straps are the same material as the Zeilinger and they tend to loose their spring after a few years. Overall very happy with sales, shipping, and product quality of this King size wool topper.
